1987 Shadow Blue 7B
I have been trying to patch little chip marks on my 87 f150 with a rattle can of matching paint (Shadow blue color code 7B) But after a season the little dabs that I did come off - so I opted to find one of those handy scratch fix tubes made by dupli-color. However I could only find color code 7F - Twilight blue. The colors look identical - looking through the packaging, just wondering if anyone knows if this is the later modle of the same color. I only lose 9 bucks if its wrong, but I thought I would ask before I can't take it back!

Ok - Little update with change to my question. 7F is - as you must have guessed - not the same as 7B. So, my new question is - is there something I can do to the spray can paint to make it thicker so I can patch the chips? When I spray it into a cup and use a toothpick to apply, I found I have to wait for it to dry a bit before its thick enough to stick to the toothpick enough to be transfered to the chipped surface - any ideas?
