Exhaust Extensions ???

Exhaust Extensions ???
I have a 2003 F-250 5.4L gasser. I know that the exhaust system is supposed to be stainless steel, and mine is all original, but the tailpipe has rust on it and looks like poop.
I keep painting it with silver paint, but that just lasts for a few days.
I inquired at my local Ford dealer to get a Harley tail pipe extension, only to find out that the extension is welded to the tailpipe and is not available separately. I visited a few auto parts stores, and the pictures of the ones they can get look horrible. Have any of you gotten a decent looking extension at a reasonable price ??? I know that Ford offers one with rolled edges, but it lists out at $48---ouch !!!! I remember as a kid, I used to buy an exhaust extension for $5, but that was 40 years ago !!!

If you only had a PSD you could get the nice looking tips that go with the MBRP exhaust systems from Diesel Performence Parts.
