Well if the intake gasket was bad on the motor side it would show like a bad head gasket water or fuel in the oil. on the carb side you can spray carb cleaner at base of carb. make sure the motor is cold before doing so. you dont need a fire. if it drops rpm or dies out possible its the gasket on the carb mount.
no water in the oil may have found a vaccum leak in a hose still running rough thought that maybe my eec is going south dont have any way to check it though
well like he said. i found my Vac leaks w/ carbcleaner. just spray a little bit on there and if it runs better. it is where your leak is. but then i also found my carb was crap lol
Make sure when checking the condition of your vacum lines, you check the entire hose. I chased a leak for a while, found it in a hose I thought was good, cuz the part I could reach easily was still soft, but when I followed it down closer to the manifold, it got hard and started cracking and falling apart in my hand.
