Hi all,
Just picked up a 05' V6 Limited 2 weeks ago. A couple days after bringing home, I noticed an engine knock or tick when starting cold (by cold I simply mean after sitting overnight..the ambient temp has been avg 80°F).
Can't tell if it's a rod knock, or valve train noise.
It is only present at low idle, never at increased RPM, and goes away after the engine begins to warm up (about 3 minutes). Don't hear it again till the next morning.
Probably will take to the dealer to have it checked out, but wanted to see if anyone else has experienced the same thing. Never have owned a 3L Duratec, maybe this is the norm?
