The horn on my 78 Bronco isn't working. When I bought it a couple months ago the horn was working, but was very low and wimpy sounding.
I know it can't be the horn it's self, because I pulled the one off of my dad's F-100(horn in perfect working condition) and it didn't work. I put the one from my Bronco on my dad's truck and again I at least got a low wimpy sound.
I don't if it would be the wires, because I checked them and they seem to be going to the right place.
I had the same problem on my 94 and found that the horn is fine, it just lost its ground. run a line from the center stud or nut, depends on the year, to the (-) on the batt. and see if that solves the problem.
Thanks I'll try that in the morning.
When you say run a line from the center nut, you mean to get a wire form somewhere and then put on the center nut to the (-) on the batt right???
yep, muy bronco has a hi low horn so it has two lines/wires from the harrness, and then i ran a black wire from radio shack and put it on my (-) batt term. and problem was fixed
