im trying to place an order for a front brake cable but i cant figure out what the serial # is. does anyone have a clue where i can find this? any ifo would be greatly appreciated
83sd, Are you refering to the Vehicle Indentification Number (VIN) or a part number for the brake cable ? The VIN is on the door sticker, in the door jam, on the frame, and should be on the registration and the title.
note:
"f" for full time 4x4
"g" models from serial #y60,000 to#y60,001
"h" models from serial#y60,002.
"i" models from serial #40,000
it says to specify which one you need or it will be the wrong size
can you guys help me with this one?
i still cant figure it out, my vin is F26YRV61640 where do u figure any of those numbers from? i wanna order this cable tonight but i dont know which one to order. any help would be appreciated
This is the date related part of your Vin# (truck)
This tells when it was built.
The F in front of the 26 Does Not mean Full-time.
I don't know where that idea came from
also, where did you get this info from ?
this is what it says,

"f" for full time 4x4
