Hi everyone. Glad I found this place. I have a 48 F1 that was kept in a barn on my father-in-law's parent's farm(man that's awkward). He had it running just a few years ago. Hopefully I won't mess it up too bad.
Fortunately, you have arrived here where advise abounds and help is just a few keystrokes away. If you can get some "before" pics we'd like to see them. While helpful, many of us are really nosy about trucks.
Welcome to the most informative site you'll find on Ford trucks. The amount of information here is staggering so you will get an answer to any question you might have. Once you post the required number of times you can create a gallery and post pictures or send email. Best wishes.
We love those stories about a pristine 48 kept under cover forever that ran recently. Especially when most of us look for that truck for years and finally settle on something that has been a sunflower planter in a wheat field for two decades.
Now, please, don't tell us that it was given to you (or that you got it cheap).

Welcome, Txcop312! Sometimes I'm a "TXspeeder" so maybe we'll get to meet some day.
FTE is a great site...the first place I come to learn about my truck, tools, paint, you name it. Lot's of experience to tap into.
What do you plan to do with your truck? Stock? Modified? There's a pretty good cross section of both flavors around here, and normally we even manage to get along.
Welcome TXcop. I am traveling to Dallas this weekend to pick up my 49 F2. OK to pull me over if you want a look-see just hope you leave the ticket book in the cruiser.
Good luck with your 48. Not sure where you are but if you are anywhere near Houston perhaps I will get to see it sometime.
Welcome to the site....Just started out on my project also...this place has more information than a full set of encyclopedia britanica... and from what I can tell it's all top notch (with a little bit of bovine fertilizer thrown in from time to time to keep thing amusing). Any time you are around the southern part of Dallas (Texas that is) give me a shout ... we will get together and talk truck over a frosty brew.
