I just rebuilt the motor in my 91 explorer. Every thing went well, I dove it for 3 days put about 300 miles on it. The only thing I know of that was not put back on the way it came off was a ground cable that went from the window wiper motor to the back of the block. I made one and put it on but hooked it to the wiper motor to the top of the phylum.
THEN one morning I was starting it and it turned over 3 times then went completely dead, the only thing working is the check engine light in the dash. The fuse panel inside the cab has no power to it no lights no horn no nothing, the ones under the hood have power. When I put a test light on the NEG side of the battery I can touch the probe to any part of the explorer like the hood, motor, frame, etc. and get the light to light up. I just don't get it!!! its like there is a major fuse somewhere that has went bad.
