Shoot it may not be available anymore. It worked last night on the net54 forum but now brings you to the permatex home screen. It should have linked to a free red or blue geltwist sample screen.... Ugggg. Sorry guys. G. :-(
DSC? I ordered a clean unported F-427 from Dennis, what came was a beat up welded shutcross over intake. Dennis said his "airhead" 17 year old son shipped me the wrong one and someone else got my "cherry" one. Sent it back and got a F-427 that has 4" of weld on the underside due to a crack in the cross over passage. He claims it "shouldn't be a problem. Ordered a pair of 427 MR heads, one was beyond rusted out from two different motors. Sent both Fxxk 'N crap heads back. His standards on good are way below pig iron in my book. I'll pay good money for rebuildable parts not a sucker for his profit. Sorry to sound harsh but I have had a bad experience three for three.

You know, come to think of it, I got a set of 16 used adjustable rockers from DSC. They were badly worn and needed to be refaced and rehardened (which I did). The place where they are loaded on the rocker shaft was badly scored, but still ok to use IMO. Two of 'em had below spec adjuster screws.
To top it all off, I can get NEW ONES at Napa cheaper than he's selling USED ones!
The prices on his new manufacture stuff is ok though.
Now that I think about it, you should probably get new adjustable rockers, and rocker shafts, at Napa. Then just get the adjustable pushrods from DSC. Use the new rockers and rocker shafts to rebuild your non-adjustable assemblies.
Rusty, I located a bunch (16) TRW boxes of adjustable rockers brand new that I purchased back in 86 but chose to install roller rockers instead. Sorry I'm keeping them. Sounds like they aren't cheap these days. Just read that TRW Holding is manufacturing parts in China For TRW in the US. What's next?

Wow Carl and Rusty. Sorry to hear about your problems with DSC. I've only purchased new items of which I've been happy with. I'm very glad you both mentioned these things. This is good to know for the future. I remember buying a crankshaft from Perogies years ago. Came in a cardboard box with some newspaper stuffed in it with the crank flange busted out the bottom of the box. Very lucky there was no damage. I was kinda pissed at the way it was shipped being Perogie charges top dollar. Never bought anything else from them. Burn me once.....G.
I bought a few items from DSC, including the adjustable rockers. They seem nice on the phone. They charged my credit card WAY before they finally shipped the stuff I ordered. I don't think I would've gotten it when I did except I finally started calling. All my parts arrived ok except the steel shim gaskets had been bent on one end to get them to fit into the box. I think they're still usable but they should've been shipped completely flat. All in all, my experience with DSC didn't leave me with a great impression.
I think I'll regress just a bit. I do like DSC's solid spacer adjustable rocker arm setup and it's sure nice to have it come completely assembled and ready to bolt on. I don't know anywhere else to get this except DSC...other than going the roller rocker route at roughly twice the cost. I never checked with Napa though...wish I had done that....lol.
You can't get 427 MR heads at Napa or CarQuest, as far as aluminum rocker spacers go I installed roller rockers and machined my own spacers to each measured space as they are all different. I couldn't imagine life without a lathe and Bridgeport mill working on FE's.

Yep those are the right rod bolts. I'd also use the recommended moly lube. Also follow the torque instructions. I believe it's a three step process. Tighten to 50 ft lbs and loosen. Then again tighten and loosen and then final torque to 50 ft lbs.
Carl, sorry to hear about those heads. I'm sure they cost a pretty penny. I hope things worked out in the end. I guess I've been lucky with DSC. I buy all my steel gaskets, springs and odd ball stuff no one carries from them. Perogies sells nice stuff but as I mentioned it's top dollar. But this was a few years ago and I'm a much wiser shopper now LOL. Precision pumps and Carls Ford parts are two other guys I like. Gessford Machine is also a great vendor.
FFR428, when your looking for a special "must have" part and the sale price is high I will buy and not cry but don't push off crap as "good condition". If it's within my budget good parts are cheaper than salvaged junk. I'm by no means rich. Money is tight at the moment (back injury) but i'll locate some day a pair of 427 MR heads and a 427 top oiler block. 482" with Sidewinder intake for a daily runner.

Carl I could not agree with you more. I would have expected the same..no less. Hope you have better luck finding these in the future. I'm sure there is a nice set somewhere with your name on them. G.
