Is an E4OD the same as AODE???
When changing my fluid the other day and reading the instructions in the manual mine seemed to have all the traits of an E4OD..I jsut assumed it was an AODE..It's a 95 F150 ext. cab with a 302..I got it changed but just wondered about this..If there different what's the difference?

E4OD is the more Hvy-dty trans, technology came from the C-6 experience. The AOD-AODE-4R70W are an entirely different lineup, lighter duty, technology built to enhance mielage and wideband performance. You will recognize the difference in case size. The E4OD has slightly larger pan and it is usually in a shortened "L" shape.
