Just what to know if any one else get oil analysis done on there psd?? I have a 2004 F250 6.0L psd... I get analysis done...I would just like to know what kind of readings others get back... thank
My trucks a year old...got 8200mi on her...had oil changed at 2967mi and tested by Blackstone and all looked good...just had the oil changed at 6780mi and tested and there is 6% diesel in the oil and excessive copper, iron and silicone in the oil...possible injectors, Blackstone rep actually called me with their concerns...who knows but there is definatly a problem...
I took the results to the dealer today and they blew me off...said they never heard of testing oil and said that I have a warenty so don't worry about it...idiots.
I've had my engine oil analyzed by Blackstone since the beginning. I'm presently waiting to hear back from Blackstone concerning my 9th oil change sample. My rig just clocked 31,000+ miles and the rig will be one year old in June of this year.
Several samples taken during oil changes this winter indicated fuel in oil was climbing. The highest it's been as reported by Blackstone was 4%. My last oil change and sample, the sample before the one I'm now waiting on, indicated fuel in oil of 0.5%. Blackstone commented that either I forgot to tell them that I had the fuel system repaired or that I am just lucky.
For the record no mechanical or PCM software repairs have been done to the truck. I think the drop in fuel percentage may be due to the switch in fuel blends and by not idling the engine excessively without kicking the idle up to 1200rpm via my idle up switch (see signature below).
Twoballsleft the dealer blew you off. Its time it to blow himoff. Time to ditch that dealer for good. Did he really tell you that? Thats what oil analysis is for. Then tell you they never heard such a thing. What kind of nuts are you dealing with there. Id never go back again there period. Go somewhere else an tell em what you found.

I am...gonna stop in and see what kind of reaction I get from another dealer...I even sugested doing an "dianostic oil change" and that I would pay for another analysis...they wouldn't do it unless I paid for the oil change...I even went as far as telling them that the oil was past the max mark and climbing and smelled like diesel and the mech said he always fills them past the max mark...wouldn't even go outside and look at it....
Just got the satisfaction survey from Ford...filling it out now...BAMB!
You might mention on the survey that it is evident that the service dept doesn't even read Ford's Broadcast Messages. Gees...they sent that out well over a year ago regarding oil fill levels.
If its an injector problem that could be fixed. Better then a whole new engine. I would do this the sooner the better. Good Luck Man if the dealer or whoever works there would tell me that. Id probably become unglued. Do they realize who pays there bills. Keeps them in business. We do. I am lucky the service department of my dealership is great. If I have a problem I tell them the best I can about it. And they treat me like you would want to be treatred. With respect. Off course its a small town dealership and everybody know everybody else. Word gets around fast.
Guys- I received the results from Blackstone yesterday, but do not quite know how to post this info. I can send you a e-copy if you send me an email address.
