Need quick help on recall
I was sent a recall notice about the adjustable pedal assemblies on the 2002 model year Superduties. At the time I couldn't do without my truck long enough to get it fixed, so of course I forgot all about it. Well just TODAY when I depress the pedal I will sometimes get no throttle response at all. It's getting worse fast. I don't have the recall letter with me because I'm at work and it's sitting at home. Does anyone have any idea how long that recall is good for? I tried searching but couldn't find it anywhere. I need some fast info so I can get my truck in the shop ASAP!
BTW, I know for sure it's not the CPS, it's definately throttle related. I just hope I make it home today and maybe get it in the shop tomorrow.
On a side note, my dealer here (Fairway Ford) seems to really be ready to help. I work a lot of hours and this truck is my sole transportation. I told them my problem on the phone, they looked up the recall through my vin number, checked and found the part in stock, and set my appointment first thing tomorrow morning. Said it should be done in less than an hour. If that happens I will be most impressed with these guys. I'll let everyone know how it turns out.
Had my appt today at the dealer, 20 minutes later they were finished. Even told me there was a code stored for the accel pedal. Completely free repair and out the door fast. Best service I ever had.
