05 Expy Recirculation Control

Everytime I turn off my truck and turn it back on I have to reengage the recirculation controls. I never had this problem with my 03EB. I use my A/C in manual and I know that if I use it in auto the recirculation controls engage and disengages as needed. Does anyone have any ideas on this?

I do not have the same HVAC controls as you but my guess is that is defaults back to Open (non recirc) to prevent excessive interior condensation and musty odors/mildew in the ducting.

Thanks, I have heard something about having your vents open to prevent interior musty smells. I guess Ford decided to help us out by doing it for us so that we would not have to remember about it. Sometimes I forget to engage it until I get a funky smell from outside. Again thanks for the info.
