hello everyone! just picked up a 89 F-150 custom 2wd I-6 5spd fullsize bed. Has 92,386 miles and no rust. I got it from gramps for free. I had to fix his deck and listen to him bust my ***** for the afternoon to get it, but at the end of the day he signed over the title and gave me the keys.
i have a set of tires from my s10 blazer that are 235/75/15 and the Ford has 215's on it. will that be too much?

Reason: Remove b****
give the guy a break. 89custom was not complaining, i do not think, he was just telling how he got the truck. he will come to look back at the time he spent with gramps and driving his old truck as some of the best times ever.
sorry if u thought I was complaining. I guess i forgot to mention the new footings I poured 48 inches to the frostline, and the deck is about 450 sq. ft.

I am no spoiled young kid pal!
just trying to ask a question.
guess I am not welcome here
Sometimes people just don't think.
Trust me, change the tires. Don't forget the speedo will show slower than the truck is moving. Expensive lesson with court costs and all.
There are a lot of good people here giving and getting advice. Don't type-cast everyone just because one person had a bad preconceived notion that they expressed. Just set them straight like you did.
Interesting that your story changed from "fixing a deck" to pouring 48" footings.....
Guess were all a little different, I've done huge jobs for family memebers, additions, re-roofs, etc. for free.
Anyway, take good care of your ride, and stop by Grandpa's just to chat and show him how good of care your taking of your gift, the friendship of his Grandson is worth the most to him.
