Hi Guys, I am new here, just traded my 02 Lincoln LSE for a 03 Quad Cab f150 fx4 lariat(hope im not dissapointed)!
Anyways, I see a lot of posts about exhausts but not a lot about prices. What should I expect to pay if I just want to give my truck a decent sound, but not to loud inside the cab?
Also, how expensive are chrome step bars and where can I get them at?
Here in Va beach I called around to a few places for my trucks exhaust. i just wanted strait pipes from the cats and they were charging anywhere from $350.00 to $475.00. I told them i'd wait till i got back to Illinois. There, we had my dads truck done for 160.00. check the little shops out too. everywhere is gonna be different but hopefully u can find a good deal.
Heres a link i found with chrome step bars for a Supercrew. You can prolly find them cheaper but i'm guessing they'll be around that. The second link is cheaper.
you should be able to get a single into a dual for 250.00 to 350.00. if they want more than that. move on. an exhaust will improve the gas mileage as long as you don't get on it.
if you want true dual. they start at about 400.00 to 600.00. these prices are based on a muffler shop that has a pipe bender. if you get an exhaust from a name brand company that comes with the pipes prebent. they start at over 500.00 and up.
