A few days ago, I met with 77highboy to sell him my leveling kit. At that time, we were talkin' trucks, and he said he had a Predator. He offered to do a temorary install on my truck and try it out. Wow! Instantly knew I needed one. He restored mine to stock, reloaded the tune on his, and we went our ways.
I received my Predator today. Went to install it, and it won't backup the factory tune. I have tried at least 10 times. It reads the vehicle ok, sees when I turn the key on and off, but won't backup.
I e-mailed 77highboy. He verified he put the factory back to mine, and was currently running a tune on his, so I know it all went back the way it was.
I also get a code stating a problem with the powertrain control keep alive. If I turn the key off, the codes clear. Seems like battery power is not staying at the pcm. I have checked all fuses in both boxes, none open.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I have not called Diablo yet, as they are closed right now.
Got it. Went thru some troubleshooting with Diablo. Determined it was a defective unit. Seller immediately replaced it, new one works fine. Happy ending!
