I have a F-150 Xcab 1992 302 That is over heating .Ichanged all hoses water pump and radiator still no help oh yeah I also flushed entire system. I had it presure tested checked out fine. Where do I go from here ?
You may have already done this, but I'd replace the thermostat with a standard 190 degree unit, run 50-50 antifreeze and install a known good radiator cap.
With the radiator cap removed and a cold engine, start and run the engine until temperature gets high enough to open the thermostat. You should see water circulating through the radiator, the top radiator hose should be hot and the lower hose relatively cool. Check that your thermostatically controlled fan kicks in about this time.
Put the radiator cap on and run the truck to see if it is really overheating. I use one of those Raytech electronic temperature detectors and find the real temperature at the thermostat outlet. Don't trust the temperture gage in the dash.
If you confirm actual overheating, check for exhaust leakage into the coolant.
