Getting ready to replace my Radius Arm Bushings. Planned on buying new Plastic Spacers and retaining washers from FORD. Plan foiled when dealer informed me that all of the Radius Arm parts except the bushings have been discontinued. Called two other dealers and got same answer. They told me I could only get the parts if I found a dealer that just happened to have them on the shelf.
A couple of questions:
1. My retaining washers are in pretty good shape, but I will not know what shape the spacers are in until I pull this stuff apart. Any history out there on re-using the plastic spacers?
2. If FORD no longer sells these things, any alternative sources for these parts that any of you have found?
MOOG makes a set of polyurethane radius arm bushings that eliminate the spacers and give you about 2 degrees of caster adjustment as well which is never a bad thing when aligning a TTB truck.
