ABS Light
Here's one for ya.... Driving home tonight came to a stop at a stoplight and looked down to notice the ABS light had come on (2000 SD V10 Auto 2WD). I have done some searching here and have seen some folks with multiple failures all at once (i.e. blinking OD light and/or inop speedo). This is not my case. Only the ABS light is on. Once i turn off the truck and start it back up the light extinguishes, but once i have moved about 5-10' the light comes back on again. Any suggestions?

Had the same thing happen on my 1999 F250..started out as just a light coming off and on but quickly moved on to brakes being a real safety problem....turned out to be speed sensor in rear axle..had mine replaced on warranty but am told it is fairly easy to replace. Do not wait get it checked out!! brake fading or possibly failure is a real possibility..

That would not be good! Thanks for the reply. I plan on heading to the stealership after work and picking up the speed sensor. I was supprised that it only costs $27!
