The title says it all. I was thinking if we find out who is close to the area, we could get together for some fun. The folks that have been visiting this chapter for a couple of years probably remember me trying to get folks rounded up for a get together last year.

Ray from Austin and myself were the only two to show up at Rosati's BBQ last July. You folks missed out on some killer briskit. I know there are plenty of folks in central Texas here. Lets have some fun.

I live in Waco and used to make deliveries to Ft hood several times a week. A get together sounds like a blast, but I'm usualy pretty busy. Keep us informed, if I'm not tied up, I'll try to make it.

Just kidding! The Ft. Hood/K-Town area is my home town. I’ve been in Houston for the past 8 years or so but my wife’s parents live in Nolanville and my dad lives in HarkerHeights so we’re there all the time visiting family and friends. My dad retired from Ft. Hood and I got out about a year after Desert Storm from Hood – you in the Army or just a local?

 

I read the first line and said "What the ..........!!!!!" AND I spilled my beer over it.

I just got out last week after 15 years and far too many years away from the wife and family.

Well, I'm still here in Austin - would love a chance to get together again and see what is new with everyone's project. Mine hasn't really progressed to far since the baby arrived in December. Mostly parked in the driveway still with no AC in it yet so with the lovely 95+ weather with 90% humidity I am not real eager to run around in it. Anyway, I may shout at ya one weekend to see if you want to head over to that salvage yard up your way and see what they got in the way of 73-79 stuff.

 

Last time iwas there he had three trucks of the years you need.

Be good to see you again seeing how you and I were the only ones to make it to Rosati's first Texas get together.

Just moved to Killeen. I believe that's right down the road from Fort Hood. Nice to be back. Give me a shout. I up for a cold beverage or two and meeting yall. All that said, my schedule and honey-dos determine if I can break away.

 

I'm doing a tranny on a friends Bronco Saturday. If you want we could do an impromptu BBQ and bench race.
