I just got a 2004 edge 4x4 and I'm looking for exhaust options for it. It doesn't look like anyone makes a bolt in catback for the 04 edges does anyone know the size of the stock muffler off the top of their heads. I'll probably go with a magnaflow single in/out

Check with Stylin Concepts. Their web site is "stylinconcepts.com." I just checked and the show complete Gibson cat back systems for 98 and up Rangers. Also carry Roush systems for the Ranger. Good luck and enjoy your Ranger.
Better yet, go directly to the Gibson web site, "gibsonperformance.com." They have more detailed information. Some systems require you to "remove spare", etc. Just take your time and get EXACTLY what you want/need.

What's different between a regular ranger and an edge? Magnaflow makes a catback for new rangers but they say it excludes edges. Why? I'd think that all the rangers would use the same exhaust systems

The Edge is a Ranger 4X4 without the front drive. It has the 4by suspension with torsion bars up front where the other Rangers have coils. It is higher off the ground.
I am pleased with the Magnaflow 1 in/2 out on my Edge, looks good, sounds good. Any good muffler shop can fix you up for around $250. Good luck.
