I am wondering about weatherstripping I have a 82 F-100 and I need to replace the weather stripping around the doors. At one time I thought somewhere I had seen weatherstripping sold precut and ready to put on. Does any one know where to find it. I would appreciate any help.
Hey man, I just tried JCWhitney's weather stripping, and it works great! Not only is it cheap, but it gives you enough to screw up! I had to cut approx. 4" off the end of my weather stripping. The only thing that I could give you in way of advice, is to get your self a rubber mallet, and really tuck the stripping into the corners, or the door won't shut! Be sure to have a steel saw handy, because you may need it to cut through some of the wires inside the rubber. It took me two tries to get it just right, you're going to have to slam your doors for a couple of weeks, but it's worth it!
I did find what you were talking about on the Whitney web site hopefully I can get it ordered soon. I checked at auto zone and what they had was not what I wanted that just had the flat stuff. I appreciate your response. Also FYI I found at auto zone they have a adaptor to change a 1bbl carb on a 300 six to a 2bbl for about $16 that is what the guy quoted me.
