Exclamation Brake Problems

As I was sitting at a red light I noticed a giant wood spider crawling across my window and before I could close the vent he was inside with me. I guess my first reaction was to stomp down on the brakes and get the hell out of the truck, these babies do bite. Anyway the light turned green and I started on to my destination and at the first need to stop I noticed a lot of play in my brake peddle and almost no brakes. I stopped at my nephews house and we looked up under the rear end as I pumped the brakes and there was alot of squirting of fluid up over the rearend in several directions. I looked up there and it appears that this area has two rubber brake lines going into a juction that feeds the steel lines. Any brake guru's out there with some help?

There's only 1 brake hose, the other is just a vent for the diff. The vent is what holds the junction block to the axle.

Unhappy Broken Brakes

4X4 Thanks for the info. Well I got the truck up on a lift at one of the local shops and the nightmare was evident. The whole brake line plumbing is shot. Every place where the steel tubing had a clip to hold it to the chassis there was rust and dripping of fluid. He said the best bet was to replace it all and also he could do it for $500 so I just said do it. This guy has done repairs on this beast before and I trust him. Well it looks like the body repair and new paint job will be delayed for awhile.
