Had to move tractor and tiller to my brothers house from our camp about 20 miles. 400 hunderd miles on V10 I took it easy on motor and trans before break in time. The BSEG truck is a complete different set up than the old 5.8 motor.
the new truck with the V10 and new trans moves this 9000 lbs. load like it is not behind the truck. The new tranny and tow haul mode are very good set up. This new truck is so much better than my old 97 250 but in its time was a very nice truck. The BSEG move the load like it is not behind you Fords' new computer has done avery good job on these trucks.
yes they are awsome towers. i did almost the same thing under 1k and a 7500 lb boat plus a tri axle trialer or 9000 lbs no problem . today iwent out with my small 3k boat, 70 miles each way to the hudson river never knew it was back there.
good luck with your truck. the 6.8 just keeps giving you that big v10 grin. and the best thing is you don't have to look to find fuel.
I had a 95 F250 I liked but these 05 SDs are one sweet machine. I was out playing with mine this morning and in this cool humid weather we are having, mine was a real ball of fire . Glad your new truck is meeting your expectations and keep smiling, Wrench.
When I bought my 2000 DRW I was out in Oregon and it only had 450 miles on it when I hooked up to at that time 12K 5ver and pulled it 1750 miles home. I love my V10s and SD trucks.
