Has anyone, anyone at all, in this forum have a 300 I6 Ford modified by/with Clifford Products? I'm really looking into Clifford Performance because they seem to be the only "dedicated" 6 cylinder performance companies out there.
I'm not looking to supercharge my engine in fears that in might blow up in my face one day. All i wanna do is put some quality headers, carbs, exaust, chips, and what not, and i wanna do it right. I'm not big on engines so i'm gonna let someone else do it for me, and if its gonna be someone, its most likely gonna be through Clifford Performance.
So if you have done bussiness with this company, please let me know what you have done... and how much? will $2,000 cover it? or am i not even getting warm?
No personal experience YET, but there's a guy running a really wretched looking Maverick at the local strip. He has a Clifford equipped 300 in it and turns 12.20s. From all reports, their stuff is the real thing not slick-magazine "go-fast part of the month" garbage. Problem is it's not smog-certified, if that matters to you
I LIKE CLIFFORD PERFORMANCE. LARRY I DONT LIK THEIR PRICES THOUGH, THEY WANT gosh darnN $425 DOLLARS FOR A SET OF ROLLER TIP ROCKER ARMS FOR THE 300 SIX.
I checked into Clifford and Old Man Clifford himself talked to me for quite a while. I was convinced this was the way to go. Clifford only sells parts and they recommended a shop nearby for installation. The shop told that the Clifford parts (head, headers, cam, etc) would certainly increase HP, but would not increase torque. The increased HP comes on at higher RPMs. The shop recommended turbo charging to get additional power sithout increasing RPMs.
I am having the turbo installed. I will let you know how it works out. The shop and the turbo engineer estimate that HP will increase from 150 to 250, and do it within the stock RPM curve.

Somers make parts for in-lines and does engine rebuilds.
I require Part Numbers, for a Ford F150, using only Clifford parts.
I have faxed, and e-mailed. Now I asked for technical information, on their new web site.
All I require is that I have or are given the correct part numbers.
I do not trust the backyard speed shops here in the great white north, to order the correct parts.
All I receive in return, a catalog may be shipped to me, when they have some, or just search our web site, or no reply at all. Not very user friendly, for information.
