Big Problems with F-550!!
I am having very serious problems with my 00 F-550 PSD tow truck. It has absoluletly no power any more. If the truck sits for more than 36 hours, you may as well forget about getting it started. (Thank God we have 6 more.) When you do. You have to feather the throttle for about 20 min to get it to idle. Smells real rich when you finally get it to. After you do get it going, it never smokes, blue or black, has no power at all, doesn't have a cat, gets regular service, but it has no power. It does litterly takes about 20 sec. to get to 30. To be honest I am not familiar with the PSD's. I drive an 88 F-250 with a 7.3 IDI so when you guys throw out names of sensors, I'm kinda baffled. What are some of these sensors I here about..... ie.) IPR, HPOP ????

I can't remember what the IPR is, right now but the HPOP is the high pressure oil pump, used to fire the injectors. Does anybody have a list of the different sensors spelled out?

The air filter and fuel filter are good. If the air filtering system was clogged though, wouldn't I be noticing a lot of black smoke?? Also, just to maybe help me out a little bit, how similar or different is the fuel system design on the PSD to my IDI?? Bear with me a little, I am trying to learn more about these newer Strokers. Theres just seems to be so much computer stuff involved.
