If you are trying to remove the oil pan entirely, you will have to disconnect a LOT of stuf and possibly pick the engine up off its mounts to completely remove the pan. If you are just trying to replace the gasket, it can be done without completely removing the pan and a minimum amount of lifting on the engine. Check the RED LINK in my signature for further info.

After supporting engine and tranny, remove engine and tranny mounting block bolts. It's time consuming but so is trying just to loosen them then having to go back and remove them.
Wise to unbolt exhaust from headers.
Main pulley can be your main lift point.
Go ahead and remove anything in your way instead of trying to work pan around it.
Be careful under there.
