I'm not getting this.. he's treating the cab as his box. If I were pressed for space I would come up with something kind of like that. But, I would've enclosed the part under the floorboard and had the sub face up. I seriously doubt he hit close to 148 dB.

That is the dumbest thing I have seen when it comes to putting subs in.... I dont even see how the idea came into his head. I bet his muffler gets a good beat going down there!

if it was done properly it would sound pretty good. all it is is an ib setup. if he would put a membrane over the cones to protect them it would work pretty well. but it was still a stupid idea to cut out the floor.

Well I have kind of thought about this recently (sad isn't it?), and I've been thinking if you decided to cut your floor (not recommended) or if someone has already done it lol, then couldn't you build say a box under your truck? Like have them firing into the truck but have the a ported box, with say, the ports going under the driver's and passenger's seat? This makes a lot of sence as far as room utilized, but I'm not sure how it would sound.

A slightly better idea would have been to cut the holes in the back of the cab and have the subs in the bed.

Red face This guy must have been the prev. owner of my truck!

Hacking holes thru the floor of the truck. I wonder what this guy was thinking? This goes against everything I've been taught.

One day, BOTH doors will slam at the same time and take BOTH woofers out. They were never ment to be used this way.

I like what a defensive smart-a** he is when cornered.

I like how he was offering $500 or something like that to anybody with ideas. I wish I would've seen that, I would have showed him somehow lol.
