Aftermarket DVD install (Rambunctious)
*Boss 3800t DVD player in the glove box or center console
*1 Boss BV72M on each headrest (don't want to mount them in the headrest due to the ill nature of the cloth material)
I can get all that shipped for about $325 (doesn't include wire)
I can mount the displays and the DVD and run the wires to the displays. What makes me nervous is getting power to the DVD unit and hooking up the audio (DVD unit doesn't have an FM Modulator). I figured I could get 12V DC by splicing into the cigarette lighter. But the audio still has me puzzled.
I have read a lot of posts about the CanBuss system and was wondering if I could hook the audio through it and be able to activate the audio by pushing the "AUX" button on my factory radio (in-dash single cd)? What type of connectors would be needed?
Where is Rambunctious when you need him
it have 2 slip on headrest monitors+ a dvd player

stick power in the cig lighter then all set
if you want go with car spekaer go get the fm modular from circuit city

thanks

)because of the can buss, the radio will only recognize a device that also uses canbuss for the communication.
so aftermarket radios will not be recognized by the radio. the aux button is only used when the factory dvd device is present (talks to radio using canbuss protocol......or in otherwords canbuss language or translator)
fm modulators aren't so bad unless you live in a large metro area with most fequencies covered by local radio stations.
and beside, how many time do YOU want to listen to ***** wonkas chocolae factory or shrek on the radio speakers ( heaphone are my savior)...ages 4 and 6
)hope this helps
