I have no leaks, and no burning. I checked my oil after about 2000 miles, and had NONE regestering on the stick! I park on a slight decline back to front. Could that have been a mis-read? Are our trucks sensitive to being level to check the oil? I have good pressure, and added half a quart to be safe. I'll check again today at work where I am parked level.
If you still have no oil on the stick after parking on level ground, take a look at the stick for a part number and check with a local dealer to make sure the part numbers match up. Could be the wrong stick.
valve stem seals are the reason for a lot of oil consumpsion.the rings dont wear out or stick if maintained properly. just because you dont see smoke out the tailpipe dosnt mean that its not burning it. pull the plugs and check for a build up of white crude on the plug
