Boy do I feel dumb. The intake doesnt have anything to do with the dist. I just didnt want to take the pan off with the pump again. But when I took the pan off I jacked the front end of the truck up and the pan fell out then I was able to drop the oil pump and reinsert the rod. Works great and the pan is cake without worring about the pump. Thanks for all the help. Troy

you should still check out the distributor as mentioned for broken roll pin.good luck
