Gauge price differences

In looking at the gauges, motorhaven, dieselsite, etc...
Most have the same prices within a couple of bucks except the Cobalt and C2.
Those two are 200 each, why???

I like the fact that the ones above read in 2 degree increments while the Autometer Z Series and the like are difficult to read detailed temps. They go in 30 and 50 degree increments! Take a look at the tranny temp gauge for all but the top two, you'll see.

I want the A-Pillar with standard red or green lighting but I want to know what the temp is for real, not "Oh, within 30 degrees of whatever".

Any experience with Dipricol gauges?
Ideas?

Thanks,
Steve...

Which gauge are you concerned about. For the most part knowing the exact temp is not terribly important its the RED LINE you need to be concerned about. My EGT gauge is marked in 25 degree increments. That means I should be within 12.5 degrees with any casual estimate and closer with a little care. Being off 12.5 degrees wont melt the pistons but exceeding 1250 degrees for any significant length of time will.

The same concept holds true for tranny temp, keep it under 200 and your fine, run much over that for an extended time and bad stuff starts to happen.

For example, the tranny gauge goes from 180 to 210 then 250.
The Dipricol has less of a visible range for that gauge but I like the other ones they make (the looks).

I'd just like to find something that has the temp detail of the Cobalt or C2 without paying 200 smackers. They all have the range, they're just not marked.
Well, perhaps not all, just the ones I've found thus far....
