I gave this some thought last night. And I think I was getting miffed for nothing. There I go again acting like a chick!
Anyways. I got to reading your replies. Thanks for them. I now believe that he might have said something that just popped in his head. You know, the mouth working faster than the brain. And like some of you said, he didn't mean anything bad by it. He's a good guy.
As for him helping me out. I do appreciate it immensely. He knows that it's a trade off for when he needs his clothes mended, being an unbiased ear to listen to him, and for the occasional desserts I make for him. What are friends for.
Definitely he is showing you that you are a buddy. It is not normal for men to compliment their buddies, they insult them instead, that was just a natural way of speaking to a buddy for him.
There used to be a Kellogs special K commercial with a bunch of men sitting around wondering if they had their "Father's thighs" and saying other woman-like things, it was hilarious. Showed the differences starlky. So don't give it another thought, I am sure he didn't.
Like someone said , if you bring it up, he will, instead of treating you like a buddy, watch everthinghe says and always be on his guard for what's gonna set you off next.
Drop it.

Hottie, If it weren't for the fact that I have been married going on 21 years in July. I would be honored be call you; "My Chick". However, I think my wife would hurt me. And that makes me a "Chick"-en.
