Broke Ring
that kit that rusty showed me since it already has new lifters i could just use those and not have to buy lifters from crane.
now the other thing is should i use crane springs or just get a set from some place like summit.
then which springs do i get.
the timing chain needs to be replaced also. Would a timing chain from summit for like the SUM-G6512 Summit Standard Timing Set work for me. It is a single non roller style. Or should i get the SUM-G6608 Summit True Roller Timing Set. That is a double roller style.
You were using an adjustable valvetrain right? I cant always remember these things for everyone's builds. If so you can go with a bigger cam if you so choose. Remember there is a trade off of low end torque for top end HP when you get much bigger than the 941. I think the 941 is the best comprimise, and works great in my truck.
Use the lifters that come with the kit. They'll work just fine. No reason to have two sets. The kit doesn't come with valve springs, so get the Crane ones.
That summit roller timing chain looks like the smokin deal! Go for it.
I will get the summit roller timing chain.
I just got off the phone with the machine shop and they said it would be $12 a cylinder and that it would take about a 1-2 day for the block.
