Wiring a W
Got the motor(351w) in the truck (66 F-100) now and need a schematic to tell me which wires go where to use the 84 F-250 elec. ignition. I did this a long time ago but cannot find the schematics I used but I remember it being fairly simple. Anybody have this detail? Thanks, RD.

just did this to my 68
I just removed my points dist. and drop in a ford electronic unit with control box. The control box has 6 wires the black,purple,orange go to the Dist. The green wire goes to the neg side of the coil the red wire goes to the small turminal on youe starter silenoid not the one for the starter wire the one that turns on after the iginition switch is turned on. The last wire is the white wire is goes to any on power sorce after the switch is turned on. Find one under the dash if you use the red wire going to th plus side of the coil you might run into voltage drop problems!
