There was a question asked a week or two ago about what happens to FTE'ers on the weekend. Well, this is what I did Saturday.
A friend of mine wanted to know where we camp so she can find it on her own, so we took her out. And we both wanted to break in our new trucks on the trails... it was a job well done.
Its a place called Waiparous (wypress phonetically) Valley and I believe the falls are Waiparous Falls, in the Rockies.
Great pics FB. I guess next Saturday it's time to wash the trucks.
Yes, it's like a badge, you have to wear it for a little while.
B E A U tiful!!!! IS that private land, Government or what I would Love to go there!!!
It is government land in Alberta, West of the #40 forestry road. This next weekend, May Long, it gets pretty crazy out there. There is a huge mud bog and people bring out some quite capable monster trucks and some not so capable that have to get pulled out. Everything from mud wrestling to wet t-shirt contests. It's funny because its not a provincial park or campground so they technically can't restrict alcohol but they do have conservation officers out there with authority to hand out tickets if things get out of hand. I'm quite looking forward to next weekend.
My weekends are usually filled with yardwork, housework and drinking beer. I usually take my ATV up to northern Wisconsin a few weekends a year to do some trail riding and most of my weekends on the winter are spent snowmobiling in northern Wisconsin.
This past weekend I was up in the Minocqua, WI area and brought a truckload of firewood back with me. I did manage to find some time to tear up the woods on the ATV and see what was new on FTE.
In a way you could say that Im lucky. I have the time and money to be able to take the toys up north and have a little fun every now and then. A lot of guys who are my age (25) already have wives and kids and have neither the time nor money for such things.
Life is good right now!
