What do you guys use for storing gear/tools in the cargo area. I am looking for something that will help me store all my tools and supplies. I carry alot of tools and parts for work with me constantly. I have seen a lot of 200-400$ pre fab drawer systems on the net. What are your ideas that you already use??
Guess not many people use their truck for haulin' "stuff".
I've got quite afew things in two "under the seat" type boxes made for pickups. They're nice and flat, so other stuff can easily sit ontop of them.
I also keep hand tools in a 5 gal. bucket w/ the multi pocketed covers they have for them (it's a square bucket, so it can't roll around if it falls over)
Then I also have other misc. necessities in a RubberMaid container (maybe about 10 gal size)
Have ya checked Ebay for anything ?
Maybe check around for a local woodworker who might be able to make something cheaper. Find one who's retired and basically doing it as a hobby, and ya could probably get it done quite cheap.
If your'e not self employed, see if your employer will go in on the cost, seeing as you're using it for work.
