is there an oxygen sensor

on a 7.3 idi non turbo. does anyone know how to check it out., where is it located. what is it supposed to do.

no oxygen sensors on diesels, just for fuel injected gas engines to regulate weather or not to richen or lean the fuel mixture.

what's wrong with your scooter that you are looking for an oxygen sensor??

um these engines are not computer controled. Are motors work on a mechanical injection the air isn't a conrolled variable on these its all fuel . Also if you install a pyrometer that is like an oxygen senser only you control it with that big right foot. all O2 sensors do is measure the tempeture of the exhaust and let the computer know whats going on to get a better air/fuel mixture.I havn't got under a newer diesel yet they may have an o2 sensor hell there cats on the exhaust- supposly. I honestly haven't looked. PSDs have computers the Idi doesn't.
