2000 Full Console Install?

2000 Full Console Install?
I have a 2001 Explorer XLS withe the base model console. I want to install a full length console with the ac vents and radio controls in the back. Anybody ever done this? Is it possible? Is there a connector already there to hook up to the harness in the full console? Or would I have to do a lot of splicing?

The console itself will bolt right up. I do know if you get the message center that comes in E.B. and Limited's - you will have a lot of sensors and wiring to do. For just the radio and A/C controls - that should be a plug and play setup. I'm sending this to myself to remember to take a pic tonight of the harness you need to be looking for that controls all of that.
You can find those consoles all over ebay. There - or a junkyard would be your best bets...

Thanks! I just got the console off of eBay. Then I realized there was a connector that had to be hooked up to it, but wasn't sure if I would have to map out diagrams and do some splicing.

So I took out the ashtray and accessory plug panel, but I can't find any connectors that might fit into the full console's connector. I have an idea of waht to look for. I'm guessing a connector that looks like the bulkhead connector with the bolt in the firewall. Any ideas, anyone? Any help would be appreciated.
