cherry bomb muffler

i have a 77 f250 4x4 highboy,my exhaust is going,can i just put two cherry bomb mufflers on to the header flanges and run that way??????????

Yup, that should be LOUD! I don't know about the cherry bombs but the Purple Hornies come with a flange for headers.

I tried doing that, and it didnt work, because of the Transmission Crossmember, it wouldnt let the muffler sit in the header flange properly, so I found some scrap pipe from the junkyard, cut to length and whalla problem solved. Yes its very loud to have the exhaust come out under the cab. Your 76 may not have the problem my 66 did.
