I have 1995 f350 superduty - the remote fob and door switches lock all the doors fine. The unlock (on both) unlocks the drivers door, but does not unlock the other 3 doors. I hear a click under the dash and a weiring (?) sound in each door except the drivers.
Is this a factory keyless entry/alarm system or an aftermaket?
If it's aftermarket, there is most likley a bad conncetion at the (or a bad) relay used to control the door lock circuit. You could also have a bad doorlock switch... If auto electrical is not your forte, swing by a good car audio shop and ask an installer to take a quick look.. A six pack goes a long way in the install bay!!!
Sometimes there is a setup feature that will only unlock the drivers door for safety. That way when you unlock the only the drivers door no one can get in the other unlocked doors.
On some systems, you have to hit the unlock button a second time within less than 5 seconds to get the other doors to unlock. Have you tried that?
thanks for the reply - yup - one click unlocks the driver door - the second click creates a click sound under the dash and the servo's on all three doors activate but do not open.
I believe it to be a factory installed keyless entry and alarm system since there is a "Theft" light that activates on the dash when the doors are opened.
