Mountaineer Idle Speed Control
Vehicle: 1999 Mercury Mountaineer, 8 cyl., AWD
Trouble: The vehicle will sometimes not stay cranked when in idle. When this happens the check engine light comes. When a diagnostic was run, the diagnostic code P1507 (Idle speed control) was indicated. Is this likely to just be a malfunctioning idle speed sensor or are there other factors that would cause this code to come up? If it is the sensor, where is this sensor located?
