I don't know if it was here or some where else but I read yesterday about
being able to order the the plastic liners for inside the fender or wheel well areas on a F-250. I for the life of me can't fiqure out why the Ford boys in Engineering would what to remove these. They have worked great on my other Ford Trucks,
and without them I afraid the gravel roads will bang the paint job in there. Then ofcourse the rust will come . Can Anyone help with a part number? Thanks Grizz!
Grizz49: My truck had the splash shields on the rear side of the rear wheels from the factory. The Shield that goes in front of the rear wheels is (f81z-9928370-aa) . You will notice a gap in the front wheel wells that allows you to look at the side of the engine (behind the front shocks) These splash shields are (YC3Z-16102-BA & YC3Z-16103-BA). Your truck probably needs a glove box light assmy which is part number E7DZ-14413-A.
Oh, and you will need Push pins Part number 389358-s QTY 2 per rear splash panel.
Those splash shields I told you about for the front end come with push pins.
Grizzy49:
I did a quick search in the superduty section for the rear side of the rear wheel liners The part number listed is (2ea) F81Z*9928370*CA. You should have the parts counter man confirm this because my truck had them from the factory. You will need two push pins per liner.

I wanted to shield the area towards the shocks and springs as well as the front and rear of the wheel wells. I checked out the measurements of the Dodge Wheel Well Liners (Part 82207367 Liner Kit 01-097-012) and they are pretty close to fitting. So I ordered a pair. Playing around with them last Saturday, I found the following. The Left one should go on the right side and Vice Versa. Do not try to melt them to reshape. I will have to slit up the rear corner of the liner and extend the corner away from the wheel, the front side fits fine. You should have the Rear Mud Gaurds because you will need the bracket to help hold the liner in place at the rear corner. Will have to drill new holes in the Liner to match the four holes around the Fender and I will have to devise a way of mounting the Liner to the holes that are used for the Ford Liners. Will Post Pics when I get the whole scenario down pat and completed the work.
Update, something that I just found out. without the rear liners in place or at least the holes plugged. If you have a plastic Bed rail cover. Which comes on Lariet and I think on XLT water and mud can creep up between the two body panels and make its way into the bed of the truck via the extra holes in the bed rail. All my liners should be in today.
