hard to say, you should have checked for codes. more an more cranking is usually a combination of things like needing a tune up, timing set properly, fuel filter changed and if that didnt solve anything checking fuel pressure if its low or higher then spec replace fuel pressure regulator . but frankly there is no adjustment to the fpr unless they sold you and adjustable one which shouldnt be used on a stock motor. and for the throttle body spacer those are proven junk .
I had already done all the usual tune up stuff including the fuel filter. I forgot to say that they also replaced the coil the first time (I had just put another one on so they took me there also.) What ever they did the second time, it now starts up great. It sounded like bunk to me when they made the statement about the fuel pressure but I’m an old carburetor guy so I accepted it (since it worked). No telling what they did but I wish I knew.
Thanks for the reply. You are probably right. I guess I should not recommend that place to anyone. They were recommended highly to me. I need to remember who it was. Ha. I have just started reading posts on this site and I have learned much about my Bronc. Thanks.
Kem makes a very good point about pulling the codes and running the self-tests FIRST, guys. They really aren't that difficult to get/run and they WILL save you a bundle of money, time, and guessing at the real cause of the problem.
