Contemplating buy a chip for my 04' 5.4ltr expedition. 30000 miles so some factory warranty left. The ones of you that have installed the chip what is the effects you have noticed with it good/bad? I am really not up to date so any info would be appreciated on which models to shy away from.

Okay, can't chip your vehicle. The computer is sealed. You need to go with a tuner, such as the Superchips Microtuner, Diablo Predator, SCT Xcalibrator. Which you pick depends on the follow question.... what is more important to you: having a diagnostic code reader included, or the ability to make many changes yourself, or both?
