Hey guys,i love playing baseball, but the only 2 friends who i used to play ball with left for iraq in the marines! so i have no one else to play with,my other buddys arnt to into playing sports,so what i was wondering if anybody owns one of those automatic pitching machines. I dont need a 500 dollar super special curt schilling fast ball pitching one So whats the best budget pitching machine there is? i dont wont one thats gonna go crazy and shoot ***** at my face any advice on which one to buy would be great! thank you kindly in advance
I bought the kids one for christmas. It is made by rawling. It works pretty good. It has a remote switch. Once in a while you will have to hit it twice. I think we paid around $250 for it. Bought it off of Ebay. It was new. All and all we are happy with it.
It's not a pitching machine, but the next best alternative.
I coach Baseball. From an instructional or workout standpoint (or just plain-old having fun), I have found the Hit-A-Way to be a great device for young or old.

Hi there rocket, ive looked into it,but i got a big ol yard and love to watch a ball go flying over the stone wall plus my dog likes to go chasing'em to! i do want to pick up one of those up eventually they seem like a real good work out
You could probably make one? Working for the city parks department I've seena few, we have 3-4. Basically, they're just a base with a wheel directly on the shaft of a motor. A plate on top of the wheel with clearance just under the size of the baseball.
