Ok, so today my light came on, so I called the dealer and made an apointment for tomorrow morning. I get home, disconect the batteries, and remove the edge. I restart up the truck, and no check engine light. I know disconecting the batteries will clear the memory, but I drove the truck around for about 20 minutes, and still the light aint on. If I take it to the dealer tomorrow, will they still be able to diagnose any issues?? Sould I just wait a few days and see what happens???
TIA
Disconnecting the batteries will clear the KAM (keep alive memory) along with any memory codes/DTC's.. If you try and run an ODB II diagnostic test without the drive cycles/diagnostic monitors completed, like after a battery disconnect, or tune/stock tune install/removal, you'll get a P1000 code Test/Diagnostic Monitors Incomplete, (Systems Check Incomplete) and the system can't be tested until their completed..
The drive cycles/monitors can be 'forced' to reset with a 'series' of driving techniques/speeds/throttle ect. over a shorter period of time, but will usually reset within a few warm-up/drive cycles under normal driving conditions.. Time and mileage can/will vary, but 20 minutes isn't enough under normal conditions.. If you don't have any way of reading the codes with the HP tune running, you may want to return/drive it in stock tune again before taking it in, and see if the code/CEL will set again for Ford to capture.. If the light 'stays' out, try a reinstall of the HP tune, and see if it relights the CEL..
If it does, have the code read if possible , then return it to stock, complete the reset/learn and run it to Ford with the code/description for a look see.. Better for them if they can pull the code for themselves, but may narrow their search a bit if it only throws the code in the HP tune... Ford may ask you why the batteries were disconnected if you take it in before its able to test.. Be ready with an answer! Hope it nothing serious...

Yeah, I figured much, im thinking im going to keep it in stock mode for now, and see what happens, like you say, and then hook up the edge again and see what happens...thanks for your input...
