I would check your fuses to start. Other than that, I'm at a loss. make sure you screw down the connector at the tuner and also, I would look to make sure no pins are bent on both ends.
The fuse is good and the pins are all straight and were plugged in tight near as I could tell. Seems like I read about sombody else having this problem but I can't find it or what the fix was. Thanks anyways.
I also had problems with the SCMT. My problem was that my truck wouldn't idle though. I was told by superchips and martel brothers that they couldn't explain why. I am supposed to receive my diablo deltachip tomarrow. I'll let you know how that works. Sorry, not much help with your problem.
When my Predator had problems uploading, I disconnected both batteries, then turned on the headlight switch to completely drain the ECM for 15 mins. Then reconnected the batteries, and everything was fine and my upload continued where it left off. Found that solution here with the search.
Also make sure your cigarette lighter fuse if not blown. The ECM plug uses the same circuit to power up the tuner. Mine is a 2002 though. Don't know if that has changed from 1995.
The fuse is good, I talked to Superchips this morning and did not get any reallly good advise. They said I may have to send it back to them. I just got the thing from Motorhaven so maybe I need to send it back to them?
I finally got the thing to load a program. I think it may have a bad cable. After finally getting it to load a program I strarted the truck and it ran like crap and died. I restarted it and if I hold the RPM's up it will run but as soon as I let off the fuel it died. Took forever to get it to unload because of the bad cable. Tried a different program same results. Very disapointed at this point!!
95psd, check out this thread I posted about 3 weeks ago. Like I said, I went through 3 of them. I finally installed my Diablo Deltachip yesterday. Its fantastic. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...d.php?t=368777
That sounds like what mine is doing. I see you also have a 1995. Maybe I bought the wrong product? I need to call Superchips Service again tommorow with the number from the programer although the guy said he had not heard of this problem.
Same thing they told me. 'Never heard of that before'. Like I said, after trying three of them, I got my money back and bought a Diablo Deltachip. Three positions and switch on the fly. The only thing I can't do, is scan for codes. Most auto part stores do that for free anyway. Sorry to here your having trouble. Good luck. Robert
