Choke stove?
Just bolted on my TOmco Reman and it has electric choke, mine had been converted to a manual, but i m okay with the electic if i can make it work. 1st, i need the pipe that runs from the choke to the exhaust to tell it when its hot, looks like a fuel line fitting?? am i correct here.
Next I need to know where to hook up power for the choke, 12v switched?

the electric choke on my 82 f100 has a pipe {it does look like fuel line but its coverd with this braided fabric stuff} it runs out of the choke and goes into the top of the exhaust manifold, as for the power sorce there is a wire that comes out of the back of the alternator, if that wire dosent exist anymore, you could run a wire off of the battery and use a toggle switch in the cab to turn it on and off. best of luck to ya

The choke power comes from the stator alternator terminal. That tube is insulated with a fiberglass sleeve. The insulation helps keep the choke off and helps pull it off faster. If you hook the choke to the battery you can burn it out.

You can get a universal fit choke riser tube kit at most auto parts stores. That's what I did on my '76 F-250. I had to run a drill through the hole in the exhaust manifold as it was all rusted shut.
