ya those stickers suck, used to if you had your windshield replaced you could generally transfer the sticker if your careful. Try that with the new stickers. I have mine stuck on with masking tape now.
79 Driver,
Masking tape????? As high as plates are and you have to use masking tape? That is ridiculous. I'm not real sure, but they may be getting to us. I hope I don't have to replace my wind shield. When you have the piece of garbage held to the wind shield with masking tape, you can't even pretend it's ok. You have to look at it every time you drive your truck.
Have the cops pulled you over to question the tape?
Mike
From what I read, the "Bill" didn't make it through the "House". I don't know if it was pulled from the bill it was attached to or just didn't have enough support, but I don't think it will be voted on durring this session. Oh well, maybe next year.
Thats right, masking tape. it stuck for a couple of days till it got hot, then it just fell off. I guess i should go up there and get them to print me a new one, i wonder if they would?
Retired 2001, thanks for the update on this bill. I guess they are too busy wondering what cheerleaders are wearing and other stupid stuff like that. Our goverment putting our tax dollars to the fullest use, gotta love it.
Does the front plate have to necessarily be on the bumper? I had mine sitting on my dash (you could see it through windshield) when I had my bumper off. I didn't get in touble.
I have seen several people driving with the "plate" on the dash, so I imagine that as long as it is visible from the front it is legal (not for sure, though).
good point but they don't have to just aim for the plates... on trucks they can hit your tailgait in the back and i'm not sure but just about anything flat is supposed to give them a surface i think... *shrug* but it is one less to aim for ... i'll be glad for that
you could always take your favorite sledgehammer to it, have a friend tell you where to hit until it looks "stealth" and then hit it with some flat black paint. no biggie right? i think on mythbusters anyways, they tried all sorts of ideas to see if they would deflect/screw up the laser from the gun, but nothing worked from tin foil, to mirrors, all sorts of stuff. i guess we're just screwed then.
